Rotor for spring-applied brake Intorq BFK458-14 ALG WR Low-wear and noise-reduced

The INTORQ BFK458 brake is an electrically releasable spring applied brake with a rotating braking disk (rotor) that is equipped with friction linings on both sides.

In a de-energised state, the rotor is stretched between the armature plate and a counter friction face by a normal brake force that is produced by pressure springs. 

A plastic sleeve reduces the noise between rotor and hub (recommended for inverter operation).

This reduces torsional backlash and increases the service life of the brake.Recommended for operation on a motor with inverter.

In addition the low-wear rotor has a harder brake lining and can therefore perform more friction work before it has to be replaced.
