Null modem adapter

The null modem adapter is a device that allows communication between two serial devices that use a straight-through serial cable by converting the serial connection into a null modem connection. It typically has a 9-pin female Sub-D connector and an 8-pin male Sub-D connector. The adapter converts the serial connection to a null modem connection by crossing the transmit and receive lines of the serial cable.
